Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Career Badger. In these Terms, "Career Badger" or "the Service" means the websites, web application, and any related services operated by Walden Pond Consulting Limited. By accessing or using Career Badger, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About Career Badger
Career Badger is an AI-powered career co-pilot that helps users build, improve, and manage their CVs. Career Badger is a trading name of Walden Pond Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16690000, registered office 23 Fritillary, 2 Scena Way, London, SE5 0BD.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Career Badger. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The Service is not directed at users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
3. Your Account
You may sign in using Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at dale.walden@careerbadger.io.
You may delete your account at any time from within the Service via Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, CV content, chat history, and any associated data from our servers. This cannot be undone.
4. Use of the Service
You agree to use Career Badger only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Upload content that is false, misleading, or defamatory.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy any part of the Service or its AI systems.
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
- Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Plans. Career Badger offers a free plan and a paid plan, Plus. The features and current pricing of each plan are shown at careerbadger.io/pricing. We may change Plus pricing or features for future billing periods; if you are an existing subscriber, we will notify you before any change affects you.
Billing cycle. Plus is offered on a monthly or annual basis. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand. You authorise us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your chosen payment method at the start of each period.
Cancellation. You can cancel Plus at any time from your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep Plus access until then, after which your account returns to the free plan. We do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a period.
Refunds. Except where required by law, Plus subscriptions are non-refundable once a billing period has started. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at dale.walden@careerbadger.io within 14 days of the charge.
Free trials and promotions. We may offer free trials, promotional pricing, or discount codes from time to time. The terms of each offer are stated when you accept it, and any trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
Taxes. Prices are shown in US dollars and are exclusive of any sales tax, VAT, or other local taxes. Where applicable, tax is added at checkout based on your billing details.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again and notify you by email. If we are unable to collect payment, your subscription will be downgraded to the free plan.
6. AI-Generated Content
Career Badger uses artificial intelligence to help improve your CV. Suggestions are provided for guidance only. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using it. We do not guarantee that AI suggestions are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular role. You must not submit content containing confidential information belonging to a third party such as your employer.
7. Intellectual Property
The Career Badger Service, brand, and all associated content (excluding your personal CV data) are owned by Walden Pond Consulting Ltd. Your CV content remains yours; we do not claim ownership over personal information and CV content you submit through the Service.
8. Third-Party Services
Career Badger uses:
- Anthropic (Claude AI) to power the CV review and chat features.
- Supabase for authentication and data storage.
- Apple/Google for sign-in.
- Stripe to process Plus subscription payments, invoices, and refunds. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and handles all payment-card data. See Stripe's privacy policy and terms.
Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Availability
We aim to keep Career Badger available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or restrict access for business or operational reasons.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Walden Pond Consulting Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated CV content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or personal injury caused by our negligence.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date will always reflect the most recent revision. Pricing and feature changes to Plus are governed by section 5 (Subscriptions and Billing) above.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
